I dont understand why Syrah insists on chemical purification of graphite despite the huge impact on environment. IMO they need to build their spherical graphite plant in a cheap-electricity-rate region and go exclusively the more expensive but environmentally sound thermal purification route (2700 temperature degrees electrical furnaces)....I highly doubt they could get permitting for chemical purification in the US or other developed countries....the US is not China and even China is changing its stand (closing acid polluting graphite purification mines) regarding chemical purification of graphite.
