After being fortunate enough to attend a presentation by David Budge at my brokers office I am pretty confident there aren’t any issues with the technology within A3D that some might consider to be impacting the share price – in fact they all but have a double barrelled benefit with their printers and then with their printing ‘inks’. If either one of these gets up there will be a substantial business - naturally better if both of them do which I believe will be the case.

Where this company has been impacted is in my opinion in their capital forward needs assessments and this has been abysmal.  Right from the start the IPO at 20 cps and the meagre funds raised was a  disaster. Yes it was a great one for the purveyor of the IPO – didn’t the SP explode - we got that one away nicely - but how much deliberation went into the company’s actual capital requirements? Not much I suspect. Since the IPO there have now been two other cap raisings and naturally the SP has sagged at each of them. I suspect that this latest CR will still not be their last as when they actually come around to building their MFP and LFP’s there will be further funds required unless they manage to generate funds out of their Powder Production Unit. This might allow them to build their printers, but there has to be a question re timing as when the PPU eventually comes on line and that will probably be peak time for capital requirements for printer construction and the PPU at that stage may not have contributed any revenues.

Still quite a journey for A3D to prove out to be successful but I am sure it will succeed, and hopefully the trade shows in the US the Company is attending during April will generate some strong interest but in the meantime I shall remain a holder even if it is with gritted teeth.  The next 12 months will be interesting.

And re the Q & A next Wed morning 4th April get your questions in via [email protected]

    cheers
