They say this a number of times in the report, "the Thai Government expropriated the
Chatree Gold Mine in May 2016."

I thought the govt just refused to renew the mining license. Expropriation would suggest the govt have taken ownership of the gold mine. If true this is very concerning. I think however they are stretching the meaning of the word to try and justify the insurance claim, in that they are covered for expropriation but not for non renewal of licences. Looks to be a thin case.
