The ramp up of a new product from concept, development, prototype's, trials and regulatory approvals etc, is is a very protracted exercise.
Add to the mix, manufacturing, marketing and sales distribution to a global market, along with phasing out of the existing product range, and your looking at a 7 to 10 years minimum timeline to full commercialization.
St George will have discovered the motherlode, mined it, and moved on before any changes to battery technology or nickel / cobalt use ever takes place.
I discount any articles that quote this is the future for (insert commodity / product type here) - It may well be, but it's 7- 10 years away, if at all!
All of the above is why I never invest in anything of a pharmaceutical nature. Have'nt got 10 yrs to wait & the chances of success in pharma investments is just over the top, way too high a risk.
