That there are some out there still taking new short positions...

That there are some out there still taking new short positions beggars belief- yet they are. 116,000 yesterday and 1.2m new short positions last Wednesday. They have only 2 days left to close out, or, I guess, lose their collateral. The only explanation that makes sense is that they are there as a final sp capping mechanism and are somehow a part of a bigger picture that only a few have access to.

Of course this is still only 1% now- but why is it there at all????
