no it wouldnt. toyota are a long way advanced down the electric vehicle road - some other car makers are not so advanced. if toyota are moving to lock in future supply you would think other vehicle manufacturers who lag at the moment will follow eventually suit? also chinese tend to think strategically and more long term and they are aggressive so its quite likely chinese companies are sniffing around. l still think generally the world hasnt fully woken up to new direction of electric motor vehicles so the sector is languishing compared to future potential. theres the possibility of a huge bubble in the sector at some point? personally l like the internal combustion engine but it seems to be on the way out! and we havent even mentioned the C word - consolidation.
