Can’t help but say this type of themed post has been asked, dissected, reinvigorated, and answered ad nauseam before. Investors have had close to a year to re-evaluate their investment in MMJ, hold, sell or buy more based on the restructuring of the business model. While some would say that they’ve sold off their income generating assets, others would say by virtue of that statement that they’ve actually de-risked the business through diversification. Fact is, investors have had more than enough time to take stock of the strategic plays by management, and the ‘sell-off’ wasn’t a sudden occurrence. Anyway, I’ve posted my views elsewhere on the change in strategic direction....someone else can write a thesis on the unrealistic and unsustainable market caps of the major players in comparison to MMJ.

In regards to your “scrimped and went without” comment, most of us here hold full time jobs because we can’t throw multiple thousands of dollars into the stock market. When I can, I invest, when I think an opportunity presents itself, I’ll switch stocks or accumulate when I can rustle up some spare cash. My point is that it is a minority that will able to throw a $hitload of funds into one stock hoping to make squillions, and ordinary plebs like myself, work long hours and go without in an attempt to secure a reasonable retirement (albeit some years away). I haven’t been gifted money, and my current diversified portfolio is a result of years of investing that encompasses research and a $hitload of blood, sweat and tears. In most cases it’s been a little bit here, a little bit there, accumulate here, accumulate there. Wealth generation doesn’t come easily, (no matter how many posters quote Warren Buffet inspired lines), yet I still rejoice in the small $100 gains in some of my smaller penny dreadfuls. I’ve made money and by gawd I’ve done some cash, but that’s the risk of investing in an imperfect market. In any case, I truly wish you well with your investments, and no one can force you to buy, sell or placate your current worries with MMJ....not posters on HC and not even the new CEO. For example, how many investors have lost money on an assortment of ‘trusted’ ASX companies with highly regarded management? Risky business this investing game.....and do we lack patience for SP appreciation for the right reasons? That is, an appreciating SP suggests we got it immediately right and thus, we can label ourselves as geniuses? I don’t know about you, but I get sick and tired of the FIGJAM mentality of some. We win some, we lose some, we’re all imperfect and ordinary.

One final thought, one thing that would potentially ease the concerns of a number of investors would be a buy in from our new CEO....an on market buy that says, “Hey MMJ holders, I believe in this company too and I’m backing it up with my own money”.
