The recent problems for drug manufacturers began with consolidation amongst the pharmacies and drug distributors (the middle men) i.e. there are now less buyers of the products, they are bigger and have more negotiating power against the manufacturers.
See the CNBC report as to price movements of pharmacies and drug distributors (check CVS and Walgreens Boots). Note the lack of movement in TEVA or Mylan.
I think at best, this news is not a positive or negative. At worst, it is bad news, because Amazon entering the market would have perhaps meant another buyer of our products - or possibly some way for us to sell directly to customers cutting out the middle men.
It seems to me that OP is misguided. Market unfortunately seems to have interpreted this correctly.
