Not so sure we needed to add a defender, especially with Redman/Ridley/Zerk-Thatcher nipping at their heels and some reasonable depth players on the list. Hurley will be back to his AA best with a full pre season. What we've really lacked is that inside mid since Jobe retired. Zerret has done alot of the heavy lifting and struggled with the tag for the first half of the season, so the predicament for opposition will be who to tag now, Zerret or Shiel? Parish and Langford will take a further step next season and i believe Stringer will get another pre season building his endurance to rotate through the middle in bursts (he clearly struggled with that calf injury during the back end of the season imo). I believe the work ethic and character of Shiel will inspire the entire Bombers mid field to find another gear and become very hard to stop......Shiel, Zerret, Smith, Hepp-D, Zacha, McGrath, Parish, Langford.....with appearances from Stringer, Tippa and Orrrrrazzzzioooo......bring on 2019!!!
Nice to see ya excited jakspara. Just remember anything can happen with injuries and suspension and the bloody umpires who favour you all year but don't hand ya the gimmee right in front of the goals in the last 2 minutes of the grand final.
