"He's been a fantastic person at our football club. We just wish him all the very, very best," Bombers list manager Adrian Dodoro told NAB AFL Trade Radio.

"He's getting back to some family in WA."

Colyer played 87 games for the Bombers and booted 54 goals after being drafted via pick 26 from Claremont in 2009 and making his debut the following year.

He missed the start of 2018 due to foot surgery, but returned in round 15 and played eight of the final nine games.

The 27-year-old is the fourth West Australian to land at Fremantle this off-season, following Jesse Hogan (Melbourne), Rory Lobb (Greater Western Sydney) and Reece Conca (Richmond).

"We’re know what Travis is capable of bringing to our club and we are looking forward to seeing how he will impact our best 22," Fremantle's general manager of football Peter Bell said.

"Travis was really keen to get to Fremantle. He has demonstrated a clear ability to create scoring opportunities with his impressive speed and he’ll also be a good role model for our younger players."
