ROFL! The most recent tragedy from the AFL ranks was the recent suicide of Shane Yarran. For those not so well informed, Shane Yarran was an outstanding and talented WAFL footballer at the Subiaco club in Perth. He had a criminal history and joined Subiaco in 2014 after being released from a 6 year prison sentence. The Fremantle Dockers drafted him as a mature age recruit from Subiaco. He went on to play about 6 games in 2016 for Fremantle before being delisted by Fremantle in 2017.
I beg the question? How effective was the support that Fremantle and Subiaco football clubs offered. Or did they offer any support at all after delisting him?
Whatever happened the outcome wasn't good.
