Yep absolutely love some of the new recruits - like seeing how there engine handle the riggers and demand of AFL - the level they need to reach. You get a feel for how these first year players struggle due to the fact they haven't developed an engine and stamina - others to look at are Fogarty for the Crows, Ratugolea for the Cats and Fritsch for Melb.
Ratulogea more than likely will be star maybe before season end - but even in the 3rd q you could see he'd spent all of his petrol tickets.
IMO very early days so only blindly looking ahead - so far Essendon and Geelong look to have recruited well and assembled improved teams from last year. Not 100% sold on Geelong yet so have to wait and see.
Some good footy over the Easter break I feel.
