Trump says US officials talking to N Korea ahead of Kim summit

US officials have held direct talks with North Korea on setting up a historic summit with its leader, President Donald Trump has announced.
"We have had direct talks at... extremely high levels," he said, adding that five locations were being considered for the Kim Jong-un meeting.
He was speaking as he hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Florida.
Mr Abe commended the US president's "courage" in agreeing to meet the North Korean leader.
There have been fears in Tokyo that Mr Trump's plans for bilateral talks could sideline Japan,
a key US ally and neighbour of North Korea.
