In this mining scenario there could be an interesting contribution to economics from low grade stockpiles. When the discovery was first made in July 2015, the company (ASX:KNE) reported a low grade hanging wall of 17.55m @0.31% Cu + 610ppm Co. Even though many cobalt hopefuls would claim this as ore grade, CLA isn't reporting on low grades. But if it needs to be mined anyway as overburden, at $100,000/t these stockpiles would pay - and would improve the stripping ratio.
