    If recycling is stopped by Councils which is a strong possibility then landfill sites will become gold mines at least IMO, with individuals and/or councils taking all rubbish incl. recyclables to the tip. That's already happening. Those that own the tip will charge for the use of a finite resource and that finite resource will need capacity expanded to accommodate the additional needs. Who will pay for this in the long run? My bet is you and I. The only potential solution would appear to be recycling the recyclables onshore (since China doesn't want it anymore---or at least not contaminated more than 5% which seems an almost unachieveable purity target). FWIW, it looks like gov't needs to create the incentives for Australian industry to use/process those recyclables into usable products. They should have been on to this months ago. Cheers.
