Yes, true Amused observer, LOL! I was going to add - 'A Man's Most Expensive Hobby' - UNTIL, he gets a wife/girlfriend! But, in the meantime, they have spent so much money on their cars or motorbikes, that they can barely afford the expense of a woman, but they somehow manage! LOL
My brother was the perfect example of a guy obsessed with both his car and his beloved Suzuki motorbike. He had a little badass VW beetle, which he managed to roll big time, out on a dusty road on the farm, with my uncle in there with him. They were both lucky to survive it, with just a couple of sore heads and a few bruises. My Uncle Bob, had not long arrived from America, for a visit here when that happened, so needless to say, it was a 'memorable' visit for him, in more ways than one!
With my brothers crazy antics, it's quite a miracle, that he survived both hobbies! I mean, the stunts he used to perform with them, especially on the motorbike, had my poor Mom's hair stand on end and the rest of us, afraid to go for a ride with him on either! They both kept him broke, but he did eventually find a nice girl, who he married when he was only 21, but his obsession with his big toys never wavered, so the marriage only lasted one year! He moved back to California, and continued his obsession with motorbikes and cars over there, so as you can imagine, the crazy antics and stories we heard over there, continued!
