Thought I would help Hairy out lol and post news that will have him beaming.
Nothing new in the Poll which has Labor leading 53/47 unchanged from
the previous fortnightly poll. The Essential Poll allocates preferences according to the last election whereas Newspoll has recently switched to respondent allocated preferences which have tended to favour the Coalition reducing the Labor lead to 51/49. On another thread yesterday I pointed out that while forced respondent allocated preferences gives is an accurate indicator of the wishes of those polled the outcome at an election may differ due to the large number of voters simply follow the Party card of their preferred candidate. So the jury is out as to which method is more accurate.
The Essential poll also indicated many voters are worried about the level of immigration
but also indicated that a majority believed multiculturalism was a plus for Australia.
