Mine is permanently set up on a dedicated bit of bench space, with its pre-set timer attached. I put my eating bowl with oats and water into the water bath there from the day before, sometimes adding perhaps half a cup of water to top up the bath.

Leave and forget until breakfast next day. Lift out basin of porridge. Then I add, fruits, brown sugar,yoghurt whatever..

Unfortunately I developed a Gluten intolerance last year and so I can no longer have oats. They are banned
The rice oats are a very poor substitute
