    I realise they are different! Nevertheless, if the total number of shares shorted (see top right-hand corner of shortman) is going down then overall shorts are reducing. Unfortunately, that number is about three business days behind the number you are talking about, so maybe it has gone up in that time. We will know in the next few days. I suspect it will go up.
