The boom-bust cycle in minerals will continue as it always has. Some very marginal projects might get squeezed out, but rationality always loses out when commodity prices are near historic highs.
The only reason I think battery materials are different in the short term (short term only) is that there is about to be a commensurate explosion in demand.
