cashless society makes it easier for governments and private enterprise to clip your ticket everytime you transact.

I can see the benefits to the taxation system, it may even aid in a fairer sytem if the will exists.

But it also opens up the opportunity to gouge on transaction/merchant fees.

As for the denominations of cash available. I don't care what type of notes are available.

Who do the $100's cater for anyway. Not the local shop.
