It's pretty evident from personal experience that it is not high though. If you look at the cost of white and brown goods for example most are cheaper now than they were 10-20+ years ago and that's before you adjust them for inflation. Cars are pretty much the same price or cheaper over the same time and you get a lot more for your money now. Sure electricity, utilities, health insurance etc have climbed but if you consider life as a whole I don't think costs have risen that much over the past 10 years.
