Its not the protests that cause the delays, its the constant appeals against every step of the approval process. Local approval...appeal..takes 6 months. State approval...greens appeal..it takes 12 months. Fed approval...greens appeals takes 12 months to rule and then that decison is appealled. Its a crazy system and the greens know how to ride that vexatious appeal train to maximum effect. Not labour or liberal government have been able to succesful deal with the problem.
I would love to believe that Tassie is different now, but you are kidding yourself if you think that Mt lyndsay approval process would be any different.
