If you watch the show, you'll see how badly the USA performs in many areas. The show isn't concentrating on military expense, but it does mention it.
The comparison of food in schools, educational performance, health costs, honest owning of history (Australia needs to do the same as well), the harsh treatment and jailing of people (using them for cheap labour).
Personally, I thought the film was very good... watched it last night (found it by accident), so missed the start.
