    Hi Downanout

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is anyway anyone can actually identify who has/hasn't shorted a given stock at any time & therefore I cannot substantiate my suspected shorting of MIN by MQB.

    However, consider this ...

The MQB substantial shareholder notice of AGO, lodged on the 17/4 reveals a 5.01% stake or roughly 450 million shares. These were predominantly acquired by MQB (on market) over a 5 day period 9/4 to 13/4 at between 2.6c - 2.9c per share.

Over the same 5 day period, MIN's price decreased from over $17 to mid-low $16's but then resumed to $17+ & even $18 on the 18/4, 19/4. It would appear that MIN shorting occurred over those same 5 days which, in turn, led to a slightly lower entry price of AGO (sub 3c) & provided the window for MQB's buying at that time.

A small table of numbers below to support the theory ...

    Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 4
    0   AGO Vol(M) MIN Close MIN Vol(M)
    1 4th Apr   17.24 0.9
    2 9th Apr 11.0 16.05 2.9
    3 10th Apr[/B] 27.0 16.81 2.2
    4 11th Apr[/B] 227.3 16.44 2.1
    5 12th Apr[/B] 28.6 16.36 3.5
    6 13th Apr[/B] 151.4 16.79 1.7
    7 18th Apr   17.04 0.9
    8 19th Apr   18.00 1.8

    As everyone says "IMO",
    Cheers.
