Personally I think Trump is allied to the Military manufacturing industry and takes his priorities from the military.
The military industry in the US has many supporters and supports many people and other allied industries.
Very simply put it is the way the US operates.
I dont think the US has allies as much as it has commercial agreements that change with their fortunes.
