I am vaguely familiar with IOOF's troubles from a couple of years ago as well, as it generated a lot of financial press. It is interesting that it turned out to be yet another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

I am also slow that way (or rather learned to be after my early misadventures in this investing lark), only I have not been endowed with your excellent mental faculties and penchant for considered and articulate writing.
