Yep - I could only calculate for the declared "research" from their 4Cs. I did some research and found that under the govt notes on claims there is also a category "supporting R & D activities" which you can claim production of goods under - I assume this would be cost of prototypes etc.
So some of Nuhearas expenditure they can claim for is possibly shown on 4Cs under the "production" category.
At 43.5c in the dollar they have claimed about $2.7m worth of expenditure. I'm only guessing, but that puts about $1.8m of the production costs in this category. That also means that estimates of the cost per unit based on production costs could be too high.
Whichever is correct, all the financial implications of this refund are POSITIVE!
