Not always. Last time our shorts skyrocketed, our share price followed and the forums were filled with images of flames. From where the shorts started increasing this time it seems linked to the "over supply" problems, lol. Are you saying MS has done their "research" properly? Game playing yes, but research? No.
There are also plenty of cases where shorters have gotten it monumentally wrong. Mind you even if you've sold you would probably be glad to see it happen here. Always fun.
Then there are the other reasons they shoot up. Talk of a takeover isn't out of the question, especially with the likes of RIO already saying they are looking out for Lithium... look back at a few of their takeovers, notice anything similar?
In the end though I think the Instos want all retail holders out across the sector and want them to be so beaten up by their experience that they do not return.
