Shorts have increased from 2.06% on 5/2/18 to 4.00% on 9/4/18. Sure the overall amount of capital shorted is not huge, but they do make up around 40-50% of traded volume daily. Do you think that is going to be good for the SP? Anyway, I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, least of all someone of your experience.
Margins for all the banks are under pressure due to the low interest rates, so maybe Morgan’s are onto something, and on open mind should definitely be encouraged, after all chance does favour the prepared mind, so you should be ok.
