Folly is a geophysical target as well as a geochemical one. Two points there:
1. 'Geochemical target' suggests that they have already got through the cover and sampled the bedrock, probably with the one hole shown on Salpetie's image elsewhere here. Aircore drilling would normally be an initial way of getting through the cover to sample the underlying bedrock geochemistry.
2. 'Geophysical target' suggests that they have a discrete geophysical anomaly to drill into, in the hopes that it is the mineralised source of the geochemical anomaly. This could be quite deep, and would justify the use of more-costly RC drilling as a first approach.
Also worth noting that Rio's second phase earn-in started on 9 April, so they could be drilling it any time from now on.
