The tax man has gnawed at my oranges, apples and figs and broken off not only some of my leaves and twigs. but a few branches as well.

Sometimes my trees have grown repacement branches, which have outgrown the older branches.

Whatever. I still am taxed on my annual taxable income no matter its source.
