Let's hope it never eventuates, but if it does become a full blown trade war I can't see Australia totally escaping the consequences thereof.
But I do believe that the USA has allowed itself to be treated dismally in trade negotiations, aided and abetted by its own major corporations, which have had no hesitation in transferring its operations overseas. Ditto Australia, which has even allowed (one might even say encouraged) domestic companies, e.g. Telstra, to transfer their operations overseas, leading to a significant number of domestic jobs to disappear. And Telstra is not alone.I was reminded of this today when I need to pose a question to my provider (no not Telstra)and I had extreme difficulty in comprehending the English language skills of the so called service provider.
