Using your example of NPV, the market did not value much of this project based on where it is heading to, why is that? It has not put any premium of this value ever since the crash of 2008! The only intrinsic value are the holders of which I was once was a LT holder myself places such optimistic valuation.
For all I know Taronga could be buying because of chart technicals then sell into euphoria. I find it highly suspicious just as the price starts to deviate to the down side and just after they have finished buying on the day, they released their sub notices? Signalling to the mugs that the low was in place to give some confidence to the punters? If this is the case I see them as short term trading company and if their punt is correct to monetise with SP strength. Of course my pure speculation.
