The ARL board here on HC has been pretty jealous of COB's success lately. Personally I hold 36.5% of my portfolio in ARL and about 3% and in COB. I follow Matt Bohlsen pretty closely, and right now his math shows COB having the potential to go to 6.31 (from 1.38) by 2021 if Cobalt is at 50 USD and ARL having the potential to go to 10.21 (from 1.60) by 2020 if Cobalt is at 50 USD. That's almost 40% more potential for ARL, but will take a year longer to reach.
ARL is also 50% dependent on nickel which is rising and has an enormous cobalt leverage play if its lower grade holdings come into play. There's some complaints on the ARL thread about how COB's resource has a low cutoff grade.
I'm sort of thinking about probably selling my COB shares on Monday, not because I don't believe they'll go up further, but because I'm thinking about swapping for ARL, or actually maybe some extremely speculative plays like Axiom or Poseidon because I've probably got enough ARL.
But I'm open to being convinced otherwise, and frankly you guys seem a bit calmer and more rational about your bullishness than the average HC thrHi
Im Holding ARL , and COB . My understanding is that the low cutoff for COB is due to being a sulfide deposit as as opposed to laterite which is a more expensive method of extraction.
COB are hoping to extract directly and not as a by-product like more conventional Ni Co extraction.
Correct me if im wrong , im not a Geologist. (excuse me if this has been covered , since i have not read the full thread.)
Cheers
