I wouldn't know what variables impact entitlement offers, thats not my personal area of expertise.
My areas of expertise include but are not limited to baking bread, shooting planes from the sky using detachment sized conventional armed forces and running electric motor train routing via computer based interlocking.
For everything else in life I try to keep an open mind. I double down on those efforts when I know that I'm challenging my own biases.
That's all I'm saying, although I agree with you as to the most preferred way for a listed company such as this to raise capital, I also understand that I have no real idea about whats going on in Mesoblast land.
The only gauge on that I have is price movements and volume.
If the company has chosen this option over my preferred option, I have only 2 options.
Trust that they are making decisions with the intent of shareholder benefit or sell up and go play elsewhere.
Maybe there are variables that effect a retail entitlement offer at play here however then again maybe there are not.
Just going to have to watch with an open mind.
