I agree that shorters should have to disclose their position using a "short" button.
But it's not at all obvious that someone who posts negative views might be a shorter. There are not many shorters around. So it is much more likely that negative views are just naturally balancing the conversation. People at my favourite cafe attack stocks mercilessly in conversation, but they don't hold short positions. It's entirely natural and healthy.
