It's been a wonderful (diatreme) resource fro 100 million years and around 20 since we've discovered it.
It will be fantastic in the three years after we start building it.
At present the US program to develop build and field the F35 Lightning II is ahead of it and that was is/one of the worst slowest most wasteful programs ever.
What is the comparison? - the level of complexity and people changing their minds half way through which ALK has so aptly demonstrated in deciding to half size it and add multiple recovery circuits.
Of course Australian defence/design & construction has been able to mach this with the Collins class submarine and the Adelaide.
