And this text from an ASX announcement advises on the purity of their graphite in respect of Va and as per this advice subsequent processing of the G flake to remove any Va contaminant is not required.

Syrah ASX Announcement 8 April 2014

Syrah’s metallurgical test work to date shows that the vanadium reports
to the tailings during the graphite flotation process. Assays on the
graphite concentrate show that vanadium is below detectable limits in
the graphite concentrate.
