Yes of course, it happens everywhere there's humans involved, some worse than others. We have a pretty decent lobby system here too, Sam Dastyari showed that, as also shown by the continual call for transparency with donations. The current Royal Commission into the financial system is another good example of how money can corrupt. Luckily our legal system can still be relied upon to clean it up when required. Being mainly a lib voter they did themselves no favours by resisting it for so long, as did Kelly ODwyer's effort recently to make excuses for resisting it. excuse the slight off topic.
