It's all part of human nature Ash, I'm pretty sure it happens in most other places too. Certainly not anything to do with convicts being sent here 200 years ago. There's far worse places than Oz for politicians and big business cheating and being corrupt. Russia springs to mind, as does a lot of asian nations, south america etc etc.
