Hi
I had to go to get some physio for a damaged shoulder many years ago and he told me that I had to do gentle bending, twisting exercise every day.
I have followed that instruction and do them in the hot shower every morning and can still put five fingers semi flat on the floor every day. It has also helped with my golf game being able to twist fully for a stroke
It is just a fact that as we become older we do less exercise, less movement simply because it is harder and we don't see the reason to push ourselves, we therefore freeze up
