Thought Vivienne was a hard critic. She should have packed the icecream into the corner of the chest, not in the centre, and who hasn't a few handy towels to put in if the chest is too big for requirements. Her iceblocks were ok after six hours.
I cooked some oats overnight in my stainless steel vacuum flask and worked OK only too cool for breakfast. Prefer using my slow cooker with oats cooked inside my serving bowl lowered into a water bath and cooking time controlled by my timer switch. Makes fantastic porridge just lift out bowl and add brown sugar, yoghurt, fruit....beautiful. Breakfast without effort and no messy saucepan to wash...just a single bowl well scraped out of its contents.
