    I’m afraid it does increase, provided:
    If the quantity of stock on issue remains the same. But, situations such as share buy-backs or reverse splits, where the reduction in the quantity of stock on issue causes the price to rise, but leaves the market cap unchanged. Although these events are rare and usually well publicized, and in our specific case the MC and SP will rise
