I think it's fine and better that you don't post anything, because Tom is not in favor of that normally.
I have had discussions with him where I had questions from a few of us (a group in regular contact) and, asked him if it was ok to share what he said to the others - he doesn't like that even -- so, I respected that --- I think it's probably because if one tells others something - then, it's their interpretation - and, not necessarily his meaning.
that said - what you have said so far is exactly what I thought Tom would say.
And, I was just in discussion this morning and a few of us are on the same page when (none of us have been in touch with Tom post ann.) - we thought that more than likely there will be some attempts at clarifying this situation.
All of the regular group have now had time to read the ann. in detail and we 'all' think that this is not a bad ann. at all - but, there is a lot of confusion because it's so unusual to get a thing called a JORC - like this out at this stage.
It seems exactly like opening the oven after 15 minutes and looking at the cake which takes 45 to bake and judging it as if it's fully done and ready to eat.
Also, there are some data which is not understandable by some of us -- eg. OVM -- ok, fine -
so, lets pick a general figure - say the OVM between 3000 and 5000 --- but, over what area?????
some of us have no idea what that means - because if you see numbers like that in other companies reports -- it's a fantastic sign --- anyone want a comparison - have a look at the global figure for DCN.
Whatever the hell we are measuring - looks absolutely fantastic down to 50 metres -- and, we know that it's easy digging.
The big mystery is not in the document itself or the numbers -- the mystery is why in the first place Tom wanted to put out a JORC so early - we are only guessing, but, so far the best we can come up with is that he thought the project just so good that he wanted to share the information with stakeholders and locked himself into a 2017 JORC - which, he may well have regretted as soon as it left his lips --- we just don' t know.
Whatever the reason - it's pretty clear that some repair work needs doing on the comms. and, to me - because it's going to need extensive education on what the cake should look like only after 15 minutes - I reckon we will get some 'attempts' at clarification perhaps from multiple sources.
Thank god there is some breathing space before we will need cash, so, we have some room to move and fix this misunderstanding - and get some information out in English as to what we really have going on here.
