I got it from my memory of Sept. 2015 and google confirms it with this from smh:

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has welcomed the Abbott government's pledge to accept 12,000 Syrian refugees, which exceeds Labor's own promised response to the humanitarian crisis.
Mr Shorten said the places should be offered only "on the basis of need", after suggestions by government ministers that Christians should be granted priority.

Here is another below so do you really think chuck was targeting Labor/Greens politicians with his,
how a Melbourne suburb defied the far-right to welcome refugees

"Australia will permanently resettle 12,000 refugees from Syria, and begin air strikes on Islamic State targets within the week, Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced.
Speaking a short time after Coalition MPs met in Canberra on Wednesday to discuss the government's policy, Mr Abbott described the commitment to take in 12,000 refugees as one of the world's largest to date."

Greenhart I know you don't paint Tony Abbott as the "far-right" but some here openly do, including the head-poster, and it was they that he falsely labelled as opposing the resettlement of Syrian refugees in Eltham.

Either Tony Abbott and Peter Dutton and Kevin Andrews are far right as eagle' chuck and others endlessly crap on about here or they did the very exact opposite and laid out the welcome mat to 12000 displaced Syrian refugees.
