    Nope. Putin has made many mistakes and may continue to do so BUT he is too interested in his own self interest to allow anything calamitous to happen. I recognise Putin's KGB past. Although I flame Putin's actions regularly I have more faith in him (on this subject) than his paid posters do.

    The current bluster, sabre rattling, pre-arranged missile strikes and so on may be just that ..... bluster prior to actual negotiation.

    There is however a risk that anything agreed at a table in Syria won't stop Turkey and Iran from continuing their proxy war.
