"An alternative solution to monetise the value existing in HAV’s asset base could be to undertake an IPO of Kalkaroo.

HAV can do this without waiting for Wanbao or FMG or Private Equity or whoever to make an offer nor being screwed over price"

    Guerilla,

“The problem for them is how many $1 billion-plus LBOs [leveraged buyouts] are there in Australia?” says one private equity player per the second last paragraph in this SMH article, that can be accessed via this Tweet :

A LBO could be HAV for $4 per share (~$1 billion).

For a LBO to work, both HAV founders (Uncle Bob and Dr Giles) would need to be willing.

If the aim is to maximise the 'fair value' at Kalkaroo, does it really matter how it is achieved for HAV shareholders?

    Cheers
