Just a little bit more information in here than the official Company release on this event and that is -

According to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Office of Syrah Resources, Shaun Verner, since operations began, the mine has already produced more than 160,000 tonnes of graphite. Much of the production has been exported through the port of Nacala, in the neighbouring province of Nampula.

Given that 160k tonnes was the indicated production for the first year and they have only been at it since about last November I will presume that much of this 160k tonnes has been prior to plant commissioning shipments.  These early shipments are possibly those where the G is assessed for suitability for use in li- ion batteries where a great deal of lengthy analysis is performed. Hopefully this will lead to further off take agreements with battery makers perhaps in Japan and South Korea.  Might we find out this information at the upcoming AGM?
