    I have a problem with this fake news: to quote the article they are "... finding rare-earth concentrations of about 0.2 percent. At that concentration, they reported, just 1 square kilometer of sea-floor mud could provide one-fifth of the world's annual rare-earth consumption, ".
    Any sensible appraisal would quickly dismiss those grades for an ABOVE ground deposit. Add the logistics and enviromental risks of hoovering up the sea floor on an industrial scale....
    Sources such as monazite beach sands or Mt Pass Nolans etc etc are plausible competition but this one's for the bin.
